A staff recognition and celebration evening took place at the Silverbirch Hotel in Omagh to recognise the long service of many
of the staff working at Silverdale Care Home in Castlederg. The event, organised by the home owner Roberta Brownlee, was a complimentary dinner followed by musical entertainment. Many invited guests from the local community, Health Trust, and relatives attended.
Staff received gifts, presented by The Minister for Health, for their long and dedicated service to Silverdale, with some having
worked in the home for more than twenty years. Roberta said:
Staff at Silverdale are very well known for their high quality of care and service provision, and I recognise daily their strong commitment, dedication and very hard work. The success of Silverdale has been the outstanding service provided by our staff and I wish to recognise this. The staff go beyond the call of duty every day to care for our residents.
The money raised on the night went to charity and the local GP Group Practice in Castlederg.
